Online You Can Report Immigration Fraud In The United States

On March 3, 2020, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) released a new online confidentiality form to help the public provide the agency with information on possible immigration fraud. The new online form, available on the USCIS website, prompts the user to complete the form for the type of information fraud investigators from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) need to investigate fraud allegations. or abuse of immigration benefits.

“Safeguarding the integrity of our immigration system is a top priority of the Trump administration and is central to the agency’s mission,” said Joseph Edlow, deputy director of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) in the area. of policies. “One way to protect the immigration system is to make it easy for the public to report immigration fraud and abuse. This new online confidentiality form makes the fraud reporting process more efficient and robust, provides our agency with the information necessary to investigate and address abuse of the system, and assist our partner federal agencies in the prosecution process of immigration frauds ”.

The new online confidentiality form collects information related to relevant fraud, identifies the type of benefit it refers to, and provides space for the user completing the form to describe the suspected fraud or abuse in detail.

This online form simplifies the way to report fraud by replacing three email boxes that the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) currently uses to report fraud and abuse. The confidentiality form will make the process more effective and efficient. Every day, well-meaning people try to report immigration fraud and abuse, but our own internal processes do not provide a consistent and timely way to respond. Some allegations are true and others are not, but USCIS needed a better way to gather information and make an evaluation.

USCIS will work with previously e-mailed confidences until finalized. Individuals will not have to resubmit a confidentiality via the online confidentiality form if they previously e-mailed it. Those who send email confidences after the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) closes these mailboxes will receive an automated message informing them that USCIS has disabled such mailboxes and providing them with a link to the confidences form.

The mission of the General Directorate for the Detection of Fraud and National Security (FDNS)is to safeguard the integrity of the nation’s legal immigration system by leading the agency’s efforts to combat fraud, detect threats to national security and public safety, and maximize law enforcement and collaboration with the intelligence community .

To report and / or report suspected fraud and abuse of immigration benefits in the United States, provide relevant information and the more detailed it is, the better this way the USCIS officials will be able to review the information and determine the appropriate action to take, do not send the same information more than once. Only submit another form if you have additional information.
